Mike's Blog - Day 119

Mahonia x “Charity” in the winter garden. This is primarily grown for its fantastic laburnum like sprays of yellow flowers in the depths of winter.

A bumper crop of fruits this year however, and you can clearly see why the common name for some Mahonia is Oregon Grape, although they were quite bitter when I tried one.

I was off today and it looks like Bill has forgotten to take the bamboo picture. But I’m back in tomorrow...
