Mike's Blog - Day 156

A nice relative of Myrtle for you today, Luma apiculata.

A bit closer.

Closer still!

We planted English Myrtle up near the greenhouse by a warm wall but it didn’t survive. This Chilean one planted in a cool spot near the monkey puzzle seems to thrive and takes no damage at all in winter. It was given to us by The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Once I’m back in the office I’ll see if there is any collectors info on it.

Another plant doing battle with a nettle.
