Back to fungi today, some of the weirder ones. I noticed these “Jelly Babies” amongst the Sweet chestnuts the other day, at least I think that’s what they are. Leotia lubrica, the “lubrica” referring to the slippy/slimey nature of their surface.

Also another of the jelly-like fungi. This one is very common and you often see it on stems of dead/dying elder, Jelly Ear Fungus.

Pip's ears for comparison, although she was much more interested in a rabbit.
