Mike's Blog - Day 248

20th November 2020 - It looked like we might get the first frost last night. It got close, but not quite. Here is a screenshot from the Physics weather station “AstroLab” down by the Bill Bryson Library.

As you can see, the temp was dropping from midnight and briefly touched on zero at around 3am. Looking at the forecast it doesn’t look like there will be a chance of frost again until at least December. I don’t think we have ever not had a frost in November. I’ll see if I can check that out.

The return of a plant we had on Day 130, “Himalayan Honeysuckle”, Leycesteria formosana. I’ve given you that summer picture again, but today a recent picture as it's now in fruit, which gives rise to its other common name, “Pheasant Berry”.
