Mike's Blog - Day 35

Summer Snowflakes, Leucojum aestivum. Not sure why these are called summer snowflakes as they flower now (April 21st) but they do flower later. The Leucojum vernum tends to flower earlier, when the snowdrops flower. You can see in the distance the Gunnera leaves are starting to emerge. Ours seem to thrive in the damp edge of the woodland garden stream, it’s probably the only wet part of the garden at the moment.
