Mike's Blog - Day 47

Lovely Gentian (Gentiana ‘Rannoch’) in the Alpine garden.

This type love the free draining lime scree. The flowers are huge compared to the leaves.

The alpine garden suffers with rabbit damage but they seem to have left these alone, no flower stalks to sever and the ground too stony to dig.

Many other plants in there are not so lucky; we have a plan to make it rabbit proof this year. The rabbits are not on lock down and are “running amok”! ….Shame about the Peltiphyllum flowers (see day 42).
