Mike's Blog - Day 67

Very windy today, again!

I have a picture of the main entrance gates to the garden, so thought it might make a nice before and after shot.

In the old picture, 1970 or so, there was no visitor centre and the path took a different route than today. You can just about make out the edge of the original path as it’s so dry at the moment.

The big conifer by the gate has been blown apart by the wind. What’s left looks weak so the whole thing might need to come down.

I was hoping the frost wouldn’t damage the flowers on the “Foxglove tree”, Paulownia tomentosa on the oriental lawn, but unfortunately the wind has had that too. Plenty of flowers to take pictures of but all on the grass…
