Mike's Blog - Day 98

Let’s have another lily. We were sent seed for this one from the University of Hull in 1990. It has survived to this day and appears in the woodland garden every year, just one solitary flower.

We must try and remember to harvest some seed and get its numbers up a bit more. Rabbits don’t seem to like it either.

Lilium szovitsianum, a native of the Crimea and North and South Caucasus.

And here it is in close-up.
