Sunflower Competition 2023
In partnership with Gilesgate Primary School, we have been running a Sunflower competition. We provided seeds and compost and the school children planted the seeds in their allotment garden in the Spring. They were tended very carefully during the summer and the judging took place on the 14th Sep. There were prizes for tallest, shortest, widest and least widest plus best in show. The winners were awarded a certificate and plastic garden tools. All those who took part were given a spider plant to take away. It was a great success and hopefully will be repeated in 2024.
