Talks

This year the talks on offer are:

  • February 15th: Talk by Heather Kelly on My year in the Botanic Garden.
  • March 30th: Talk by Anne Tullock (National Trust) on The Changing Times at Crook Hall.
  • April 19th: Talk by Catherine Dawson (Technical Director of Melncourt, Peat Free Compost Manufacturer) on The importance of Peat and the change to Peat Free Compost.
  • May 17th: Talk by Dr. Ruth Starr-Keddle (North Pennine Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) on The Restoration of Upland Hay Meadows.
  • September 20th: Talk by lan Dent on The Gardens I have visited throughout the World.
  • October 18th: Talk by Martin Roberts on The work of Joseph Spence’ - I8th Century Landscape Designer in Co. Durham.

All talks, unless otherwise stated, are in the Botanic Garden Visitor Centre starting at 7.30pm. Refreshments are available. For the full programme of events taking place this year, please visit the Programme page.
