Talks
This year the talks on offer are:
- February 15th: Talk by Heather Kelly on My year in the
Botanic Garden.
- March 30th: Talk by Anne Tullock (National Trust) on The
Changing Times at Crook Hall.
- April 19th: Talk by Catherine Dawson (Technical Director of
Melncourt, Peat Free Compost Manufacturer) on The importance of Peat and the change to Peat Free
Compost.
- May 17th: Talk by Dr. Ruth Starr-Keddle (North Pennine
Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) on The Restoration of
Upland Hay Meadows.
- September 20th: Talk by lan Dent on The Gardens I have
visited throughout the World.
- October 18th: Talk by Martin Roberts on The work of
Joseph Spence’ - I8th Century Landscape Designer in Co.
Durham.
All talks, unless otherwise stated, are in the Botanic Garden
Visitor Centre starting at 7.30pm. Refreshments are
available.
